01 - Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang for easy removal.
02 - In a large bowl, combine flour, oats, granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt.
03 - Add melted butter and vanilla extract to dry ingredients. Stir until crumbly and evenly moistened.
04 - Reserve 1 ½ cups of crumb mixture for topping. Press remaining mixture firmly into pan bottom to form crust.
05 - Toss cherries with sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and almond extract until evenly coated.
06 - Spread cherry mixture evenly over crust.
07 - Sprinkle reserved crumble mixture evenly over cherries.
08 - Bake for 35–40 minutes until top is golden brown and filling is bubbling.
09 - Cool completely in pan, then lift out using parchment overhang. Cut into bars and serve.
